Venue Configuration: Opening Hours

The Opening Hours tab is a critical component of your venue's profile in VenCare. This section allows managers to define the specific operating schedule for each day of the week, which directly impacts how the system manages active monitoring and what information is displayed to users.

Operating Schedule​

Use this interface to establish the baseline availability for your venue. Setting accurate hours ensures that incident reporting and security coordinator availability are aligned with your actual business operations.

  • Daily Toggle: Use the orange toggle switch next to each day (Monday through Sunday) to indicate if the venue is open or closed on that specific day.

  • Start and End Times:

  • Opening Time: Enter the time your venue begins operations in the first time field. Select AM or PM to finalize the start time.

  • Closing Time: Enter the time your venue ceases operations in the second time field. Select AM or PM to finalize the end time.

  • Duration Calculation: The system automatically calculates and displays the total number of operating hours (e.g., 8h) for that day based on your selected start and end times.

Why Accuracy Matters​

  • User Information: These hours are displayed to patrons and staff, providing clarity on when the venue is officially active.
  • Active Monitoring: Defining these periods helps VenCare manage "active monitoring" sessions, ensuring the right alerts are triggered during your specific windows of operation.
